Things to do in Brussels.

Updated: Feb 17, 2019

Do you only have a weekend to visit the wonderful city of Brussels? Not a problem. Below I give you a list of all the must do things in Brussels when on a short timescale.

Visit the EU parliament - This is mainly for those who are fascinated by politics. There are tours around the area as well as access to lots of fascinating places. However, if you're not too interested by politics, I would still suggest visiting the area to see where the European Parliament is placed. The building itself is very impressive.

Take a tour around a chocolate museum - There is no chocolate quite like Belgian chocolate and there are many museums placed around Brussels to prove that. The tours are very informative and it is especially interesting to see the whole process that goes into the creation of Belgian chocolate. Plus the free tasters are always a nice bonus.

Atomium - I wouldn't recommend going inside Atomium if you are short of time as there is not a lot to view once inside. However, I would highly recommend a hop on, hop off bus tour which takes you to the outside of the extraordinary landmark which is definitely worth a view. The tour also does lots of fascinating stops before the Atomium which are well worth a visit.

Eat a belgian waffle covered in Belgian chocolate - I admit this one isn't really a "must do" but who doesn't love waffles smothered in Belgian chocolate, right?

Visit the Manneken Pis - This is a landmark in Brussels that attracts tourists everyday. It is a sculpture that was created in the 1600's and is just as popular and amusing more than four centuries later.
