A lively weekend in Dublin.

Updated: Feb 17, 2019

Dublin is one of Europe's most vibrant cities with people desperate to visit the exciting, Irish town. You will struggle to find a person who has had the pleasure of visiting Dublin and isn't planning a future return to the fun city.

We decided to visit Dublin for a long weekend to celebrate several birthday's and I can promise you, Dublin did not dissapoint. The streets of Dublin are bustling with people who have all set out to have a good time and you are guaranteed to feel right at home in the Irish capital.

We arrived late on Friday evening and knew that we couldn't waste an evening in the vibrant capital so we headed straight out to explore. The vibe during the night in Dublin is incredible. Floods of people fill the streets with laughter and happy cheers surround the air. There was even a pull up bar in the centre of Temple Bar area, with locals taking it in turn to hold themselves up on the bar for two minutes. The crowds were out in full force with the cheers of support taking over the whole of Dublin, whilst LIVE music played from an array of different pubs and bars. Dublin truly comes alive at night.

Dublin is known for its various different alcohols therefore we decided that the perfect itinerary whilst in Dublin would be to fill our day with alcohol related tourist attractions. This including a day filled with exploring different tourist attractions including various Irish Whiskey museums as well as the Guinness Storehouse. (You can read my full review of my trip to the Guinness Storehouse here). The respectable reputation of Dublin's delicious alcohol did not disappoint as we tasted several different whiskeys including "Paddy's whiskey" which was delicious beyond words. We were also taught an Irish cheers as we enjoyed the flow of drinks whilst listening to LIVE music in Irish bars. If you are the kind of person who enjoys a drink in a relaxed and comforting environment then I can assure you Dublin is the place for you.

Our last day was spent taking strolls along the river and exploring the shopping facilities of Dublin which was extremely beautiful. We also visited lots of stunning restaurants overlooking the river which were home to some of the most delicious foods that I have ever tasted! Dublin will forever have a place in my heart and if you have yet to travel to the fun and vibrant capital, I would highly recommend choosing Dublin as your next adventure point. You will not regret it.
