The Guinness StoreHouse, Dublin - A treat for everybody.

The Guinness Storehouse is an extremely popular tourist destination for those visiting Dublin, therefore I was extremely interested to find out whether Dublin's number 1 tourist attraction is worth the visit.

This is a must for anyone visiting Dublin for the first time. You are sure to appreciate the impact that the Guinness family has on the Irish culture and society. The area where the storehouse is located, has a rich history in beer and liquor production which you are sure to notice as you walk past each museum window with an array of liquors proudly placed. When you arrive at the Storehouse, you are greeted by lots of images of the Guinness harp and this is where the tour really comes alive.

We decided to take the selfguided tour which I would particularly recommend as you can move at your own pace and I can assure you that you are guaranteed not to miss a thing due to the easily accessible layout of the building. Inside the Guinness Storehouse there is lots of history to be enjoyed. A personal favourite of mine was a small area which played all of the Guinness adverts that have aired on television. This was extremely fascinating to see the evolution of both the drink and television. As well as learning all about the process of making Guinness, you are also given the chance to pour the perfect pint where you receive a certificate as a certified Guinness pourer.

Another highlight is the tasting experience where you are greeted with a small Guinness before being shown the "proper" way to drink Guinness after learning an Irish toast. There is also a bar located on the third floor of the building which thrives on LIVE music and always seemed to have a lively, fun atmosphere.

The most anticipated part of this tour is the gravity bar at the top of storehouse building where you can enjoy your free Guinness whilst enjoying a 360 view of Dublin. The views are lovely however it can become extremely busy in the gravity bar so be aware that you may not get a great view. However I would highly recommend going down to the LIVE music bar on the third floor and enjoying a Guinness there in a more relaxed and less crowded atmosphere.
