Cook's Club Corfu

We have recently returned from a 5-night stay in Corfu's fancy 5* boho resort, Cook's Club. Cook's club is a popular franchise and I was particularly keen to stay in Cook's Club Corfu because of its quirky reputation and I can assure you that I was not disappointed!

We arrived at Cook's Club by a private transfer from Corfu airport which was a nice scenic trip and took around 25 minutes. When we entered Cook's Club Corfu, we were immediately met with friendly staff and it didn't take too long for us to be checked in. We arrived earlier than check-in time but our room was already prepared for us, meaning that we were able to relax in our luxurious hotel room after a tiring morning of travelling. We opted for a swim-up room and this turned out to be one of the best decisions that we have made! The room was spacious and decorated in a unique boho theme with a large bed and stunning décor. The terrace was incredibly spacious with a decent sized pool shared between six rooms. We were at Cook's Club for 5 nights and rarely saw anybody in the shared pool, therefore the swim-up rooms are a great choice if you like a bit more privacy whilst enjoying the pool area. Chris and I spent the majority of our time swimming up and down the shared pool and enjoying playing on various inflatables. We swam in the main public pools a couple of times but I personally much preferred having a semi-private pool to enjoy in our own time. The pools are cleaned daily and are available to swim in from 9am each morning which was the perfect time for us to have a morning dip after enjoying our breakfast.

The food at Cook's Club was phenomenal, with the a la carte restaurant being a particular highlight. Each guest is able to redeem one night free dining in the a la carte restaurant. We decided to use this on our first night to celebrate Chris' birthday. The food was incredible and we were very full but extremely content and impressed with our first night's dining. The main restaurant is available for Breakfast, lunch and dinner whilst the pool bars supply some delicious snacks throughout non-dining times, so it is possible to continuously enjoy unlimited, delicious food for the duration of the day at Cook's Club. There was a great food selection for all meals and the snack bar was my personal favourite, serving some delicious sandwiches, burgers and fries. This was available throughout the morning and was the perfect fuel after a morning spent swimming in the incredible pools throughout the hotel.

The drinks served throughout the hotel was my personal highlight of the trip. I discovered some incredible iced coffees, including an iced coffee made from ice cream that was absolutely delicious and I am still craving to this day! There is a good selection of cocktails, beers and wines, which are all included within the all inclusive package. We visited in the height of Summer and were surprised with how quick it was to order drinks and food. The bar staff are friendly and efficient so you can guarantee that it won't be long until you're sat back at your sun lounger, sipping on a delicious cocktail whilst enjoying your delectable food. The only negative that I can comment on about this setup, is that the sunbeds can become a little uncomfortable after a while but if you are like us and like to constantly be on the move/exploring then this shouldn't be a massive problem. However if you're likely to spend the majority of your holiday lounging by the pool, bear in mind that some extra towel cushioning may be in order.

There are lots of amenities throughout the hotel, including a couple of shops, a fitness centre and spa facilities. We treated ourselves to some spa treatments where I went for a facial and Chris had a Crete massage that comprised of 90 minutes of full relaxation and he left feeling extremely rejuvenated! My facial was equally amazing and my spa facial alongside the constant sun exposure, did my skin wonders. The gym was one of Chris' favourite areas of the hotel and it was decorated beautifully in a stunning setting surrounded by nature. There was also an outside platform where you can use some of the gym equipment to create your own workouts. Working out in a stunning setting, overlooking the Greek mountains and pool area is incredibly motivational and sets your day up in the best way possible.

The location of Cook's Club is not central, however it is easy to reach the main Corfu town via public transportation. There is a bus stop that stops right outside of the hotel and takes around 15-20 minutes to get to Corfu town. We took a boat trip to Albania on one of our first days in Corfu and we took the bus, which dropped us about a 10 minute walk from the ferry port. It was very easy to use the buses and they are extremely affordable at around €1.50 per person. You can pay onboard and the buses are very regular so you can explore Corfu town at any time of the day.

Overall, our experience at Cook's Club Corfu was an extremely positive one and it was one of the most relaxing stays that I have had in a long time. I would highly recommend paying extra for a swim-up room, if you're able to, because you will definitely not be disappointed! I would personally recommend a 5-7 day stay at Cook's Club Corfu because whilst is is a stunning hotel, there isn't very much to do around the hotel so I think this timeframe would be a perfect amount, including a few days out/trips in and around Corfu.

You can find more information about Cook's Club Corfu here. Please note that Cook's Club is an 'Adults only' resort, with the minimum age being 16. Therefore, if you're looking for a family resort for younger children, this is not the hotel for you.
